Christina Bangui, BSN, RN, also known as The Joyful Nurse is just starting her journey into life, faith, and nursing. Her first job was on Medical Oncology floor in South Dakota. Next Christina lived life as a traveling nurse, with her first travel assignment in an outpatient infusion center in Bellflower, CA and her final travel assignment on a medical surgical floor in Downey, CA. Oncology and Hospice patient’s have stolen her heart time and time again and so she welcomed a permanent position working on the Medical Oncology VIP at Providence St. Johns in Santa Monica, CA. Christina writes this blog as a way for others to join in the laughter, heartwarming moments and challenges that nursing brings.

A few of her favorite things, “My best friend and hubby Frank…my morning cup of coffee…my beautifully messy family that has grown to include my adorable nieces and nephews…anytime spent with Jesus reading the word…the ocean, such indescribable wonder…travel and wanderlust… and friends that have always been there.”

Prior to starting her nursing career Christina worked for a college ministry, Cru (formerly Campus Crusade for Christ) mentoring young women in their faith, speaking to audiences about Jesus, co-leading a mission trip to South America, and sharing her faith with those attending college.

Deciding to enter the nursing profession has been one of the most rewarding experiences for her, as you already know if you are a nurse or someone in the healthcare field! Her mission is transforming nurses and patients in the darkest of places into beacons of light for the healthcare industry and the world. Her next adventure is pursuing her education  at Azusa Pacific University for her Master of Science in Nursing Education. She invites you to join the journey through life, faith, and nursing and become part of The Joyful Nurse community by subscribing today.
