Today one of my favorite people in the whole world turns a page to a new chapter in her life. Anastasia is much closer than a friend and deeper than my cousin, she has become my sister throughout our lives and I am so blessed and inspired by her. So today, I say congratulations as Stasia graduates high-school and prepares to start college. One of the reasons I share this today is because over the next four years I get to watch her journey to becoming an RN at South Dakota State University. Go Jacks! She is so passionate about starting her career and hopes of becoming a flight nurse in the future.
Remember how big your dreams were when you graduated high-school? How invincible you were? How absolutely anything was possible? So many plans just waiting to unfold…
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” —Jeremiah 29:11
As you celebrate the graduates in your life take time to encourage them. They have a long road ahead with many sleepless night studying for their degrees, a good amount of stress because we all know college student barley scrape by financially, and a lot of spiritual and social challenges as they discover and decide what kind of person they want to be.
Check out this inspiring video of the A-W graduates this year as they walk through the halls of their school so all the younger student can celebrate with them!
